Aside from my family, baking is my one true love.

Gerri Brown-Simmons has been baking cheesecakes for more than 16 years. Her passion for baking began in high school when she enrolled in the culinary arts program. After graduating from Johnson and Wales University, she worked as a district deli/bakery lead trainer for five years for a major grocery store.

While working full-time, she baked her cheesecakes at night and on weekends, selling desserts at local farmers markets. Selling wholesale desserts to restaurants, allowed her business to grow and she moved her business from her house to a commercial kitchen. Pregnant with her first child in 2015, she opened her storefront in the Northlake Mall area, naming the bakery in honor of her late uncle “Jazzy”. Jazzy Cheesecakes offers more than 75 different flavors of cheesecake, including several seasonal flavors. Walk-in customers have 20-25 flavors available for purchase daily.

Gerri is married to the love of her life, Shai and they have two young children, Micah and Miciah. Her family is her inspiration and keeps her motivated and focused.
